I'm exactly like all of you other's out there with inner smut whores or kinky bitches buried below the surface of our "I'm a good mommy, and of course I love vanilla sex, I'm a mommy" facades. Yeah, sure, tell your inner slut or kinky bitch that while you read "Fifty Shades of Grey", "Bared to You", or "This Man Trilogy" I'm sure she'll be listening, no, I'm totally effing with you, she won't hear a word you say. Lmao. 

However, KUDOS to us! Pat yourself on the back! Even though we've carried and delivered three 8 pound kids, and  we don't have the hard youthful body we did in high school, dammit we can still get flushed, feel sexy, and get goosebumps, and I don't know about you, but I fuckin love it! 

Now, let me get my scattered ass brain back on track here.

Mercy was not merciful at all! Mercy was hands down the most utterly erotic story I've ever read. If Fifty is a 10, then Mercy is a fucking 15! Mercy is unlike every "similar to Fifty" book I've read. It's so much more, the characters are so much more, the story is so much more. And the sex, holy motherfucking shit! I mean it! Holy mother fucking shit! When Matthew wasn't in her body, he was in her head, fucking her, confusing her, making her feel shame, only to feel ashamed because she felt shame. He turned her mind, her body, and her soul inside out, upside down, until she was stark raving mad, crazy to the point of insanity. This shit was so damn hot, I am seriously surprised my kindle  made it through the heat! Get ready ladies, and for the love of God don't read this in public, do everyone a favor, read it at home, with about 3 dozen pair of back up panties. Trust me. I'd never steer you wrong......

Lucy

Lucy has been a dancer since before she can remember, she is at the top of her career now. However with the big 30 and the end of her dancing looming ahead of her she begins to push herself harder than every other dancer, vowing to herself to stay on top!

When the insanely handsome business developer Matthew sets his sites on Lucy after he's studied the portraits he purchased of her naked and submissive, he drops an enormous donation to the company she dances for and the theater that holds their gala's.

When Lucy runs into the enigmatic Matthew while rushing to rehearsal she can only stare, frozen under his spell. Once she finally gains enough composure, she skitters away to dance practice.

Well you already know from my rambling up there that he pounces, he snares her in his trap, however it's a trap Lucy doesn't intend to try to escape. Matthew outlines the rules, the boundaries are set. This is not a relationship, this is Matthew owning Lucy, Matthew making the rules for their sadomasochistic bond, it will be built on trust, NO LIES! 

Rule# 1: Never Lie!

But when Lucy starts to slip further and deeper into this rabbit hole, her feelings for Matthew grow, he feels her feelings grow, so to staunch the growth he ups his game, lets his sadist off the leash some. However it doesn't seem to cease her feelings, if anything he becomes awed by her, and even though he has debased her on a level that should have her screaming "Mercy", she remains diligently submissive. And that only infuriates him, makes him enraged. 

Now who is breaking his number 1 rule? Who is lying? Not only to himself, but Lucy as well. As Matthew tries to keep his love and devotion for Lucy hidden beneath his lies of disrespect, rage, and Sadism, their original mutual agreement begins to spiral out of control turning their affair into a tumultuous and devastating thing. Once someone has given you, all of you, your mind, body and soul that sinful, biting pleasure that exceeds everything you ever believed you wanted or needed. Once the ache and love awakens the part of you and evolves you and for the first time in your life, you feel, truly feel alive, can you walk away? Even though everyone around you is telling you how unhealthy and wrong it is, even when the person responsible for evolving you is pushing you away. Is that all that is left, just return back to feeling nothing, go back to feeling like you're not alive?

Lawd have Mercy Nicole Edwards has done it again!!! Actually, she has out done herself.  If you have read Club Destiny then you know what her talents are if you haven’t and this is going to be your first Nicole Edwards book let me be the first to tell you that it will BLOW you away!! Zane is one of 7 sexy ass cowboy brothers that make up the Walker Family.  You always get a little taste of all of the characters so when I read Kaleb, I thought Zane would be good but I was wrong he was GRRRReat, Awesome, FanFUCKINGtastic! I couldn’t put this book down.  I took my kindle EVERYWHERE with me and when I didn’t, I used my kindle app on my phone.   Zane was my drug of choice, I couldn’t wait to get back to him.  OHH.MY.GOD. What I wouldn’t do to be in Vanessa’s shoes, well actually her body so Zane could ravish me! Mmm, Mmm, Mmm.

Anyways, Vanessa and Zane are introduced in Kaleb. V’s best friend is married to Zane’s brother Kaleb.  V only wants just a casual relationship with Zane not wanting to be too attached to anything.  Of course, she has her own baggage as we all do and has to find ways to come to terms with it.  Like any woman, who wants to give a man everything so he has no reason to keep you around?  I was thinking she was going to just crumble at his feet at his every request (I’m sure I would’ve) but she held strong and was her own person no matter what. Even though, the thought of his Sexy Ass got her blood pumping she tried to play it off for a long time. 

Vanessa

With the amount of pleasurable ecstasy that is ZANE, there was no way she could stay away. Shit not that he was gonna let her whether she was suffering from PTSD or Not.  Zane was jumped by V’s ex Jake and his boys as revenge for Zane putting him in his place at the local bar and embarrassing him in front of everyone! Zane’s accident affected V and she tried to hide it from everyone.  Of course, Zane (that sexy MF) found out and wanted to do everything in his power to help her through it, but that stubborn ass woman kept pushing him away.  ZANE ain’t no quitter though.  He was gonna fix it come hell or high water!!!

Ohhh that brings me to him ZANE …..sorry I was daydreaming about him saying shit like this to me “I want to bury my tongue in your pu$$y and make you scream my name” instead of V.…where was I again? Oh, ya right so….Ya’ll ain’t ready for the things that Zane will do to you!  This man will have you panting, sweating and holding your breath to see what he is gonna do (that makes you tingle) next.  Zane is the kinda man that you want to lock in the basement and never let anyone near him (your best kept secret) .  He’s of course an Alpha male.  I love Alpha’s whoot whoot.  He just emanates Sex, Lust and Desire ohh goodness everythang!  

ZANE and his brothers want revenge for what Jake and his boys did to him like it ain’t nobody’s business.  He definitely ain’t waiting around for karma to bite Jake in the ASS, especially since he is harassing V.  The Walker Family is building a high profile Sex Club in their town.  This keeps their minds busy so they don’t go off the deep end looking for Jake.  In the meantime, Zane is gonna take V and do things that make you want to scream and make your panties wet.  He is not above including his best friend Beau to join the party!! These scenes will Blow your mind in more than one way.

Nicole gives a whole new meaning to Ménages for me. It makes me think umm ya I could do that..Now all I have to do is convince the hubby. After reading this book, I spent some “quality time” with the man and then had to take a cold shower just so I could relax enough to go to sleep.  It didn’t prevent me from dreaming of my own Sexcapade with ZANE though!!!

Kimmi's Author Interview with J.B. McGee:

-What sparked your interest in becoming a romance writer?

I am a hopeless romantic. I love watching chick flicks and once my passion in reading had been reignited, I couldn’t wait to create my own love stories.

-What was the first romance novel you read that made an impression on you?

The Notebook

-Tell us 5 surprising things about yourself.

1. I really don’t like being outside unless I’m at the beach. I love watching a beautiful day from the comforts of my home. I hate bugs. Maybe that’s why. Which is really ironic since my second job was as a receptionist for a pest control business.

2. My senior year of high school I attended night school and completed the course to sell real estate. But I never took the state test to get my license.

3. I took 10 years of tap, 4 years of ballet, and 1 year of jazz. I’ve been involved in some form of arts and performing in some way since I was 5 years old.

4. I hate scary movies…and snakes. I can’t bear to watch either of them. They give me nightmares. Every. Single. Time. My husband does like to watch both and finds my phobia cute and amusing.

5. When I was 18 months old, I broke my arm, but my parents didn’t realize for a couple of weeks because I didn’t cry for very long when it happened and it didn’t look broken. When they realized, the doctors had to re-break my arm. I went into cardiac arrest. I had to be resuscitated.

There was a bit of a cover up. My parents were told the reason was that I was allergic to Lidocaine. However, when we got the records before I had my first child because we were concerned about my being numbed for my epidural, I was told it was either an accidental overdose, or the tourniquet had not been tightened enough and it got into my bloodstream.

We still don’t know the reason. My mom has told me the story multiple times. About how they were ushered out of the room as the doctors called a “code blue” and she watched me lifeless as she left the room. I can’t imagine.

-What is your writing environment.

I’ve had several writing environments. At the moment it’s a desk with a picture of Ian Somerhalder staring at me in front of a big window in my sunroom.

-One of your favorite quotes.

She believed she could, so she did.

-Do you have a website recommendation for other writers?

Not really. I just encourage them to read guest posts by other authors who give advice. I also recommend brushing up on your grammar rules and how to write dialogue.

-What type of book have you always wanted to write?

I want so badly to write a book that has a lot of sex in it because I know that people love that right now. But it’s so hard for me to write just one sex scene. It’s hard and exhausting for me to think about writing a bunch of them.

I can’t wait to write a mystery. Maybe it will be an erotic mystery. That would be the ultimate challenge.

-Who are your dream dinner party guests?

You may now hate me. I am not going to lie. I love politics so you might not like one of my choices. I would love to have dinner with Taylor Swift, David Gandy, Ian Somerhalder, Julia Roberts, Oprah Winfrey, and Barack Obama.

-What’s the last movie you watched and loved?

There are only a handful of movies that I will watch more than once. Pretty Woman, The Notebook, Dear John, The Last Song, and The Vow. The Vow was the last movie I watched.

-Most ?? in high school. (popular, nerdy, sporty…) Why?

I don’t think that any one adjective could describe me. I was involved in so many different things. I didn’t fit into any one group. I had friends in many different circles. I wasn’t really nerdy, but I am kind of nerdy now. I was sporty, but not the most sporty. I was in the band. It’s hard for me to say. I didn’t win any of the superlatives.

-Top three things on your bucket list.

1. I’d like to hit NYT and USA Today Best Seller Lists

2. I’d like to achieve financial freedom (no debt) and stability

3. Take a second honeymoon to Venice (which is where we wanted to go when we first got married, but couldn’t afford it)

-How did you get the idea for this particular novel?

I had a guy that I met once at a wedding and I thought his sister was his girlfriend. I thought it would be cute to do something with that. Then I also experienced the hurt that comes along with your best friend (or ex best friend) dating your ex-boyfriend…for years. It was really hard. We were all in the same group of friends. It was really hard to get over that. Every time I felt like I was in a good place, somehow it always felt like salt was thrown into a barely healed wound. Oddly enough, they broke up after we went to college and she ended up being a bridesmaid in my wedding. So Broken is ever so slightly based on some events in my life, but very much fiction.

My husband and I had a long distance relationship, so that part of Mending came from my own experience. Everything else is pretty much made up and came to me as I wrote.

My dad and I had a rocky relationship growing up. I am a child of divorce. I had actually debated not letting him give me away at my wedding. Chad helped me repair that relationship and I’m so glad that I was able to put my own past behind me and move on to a much happier future. My dad and I are now very close. He has been so supportive of this venture and has read all of my books, sold them to his friends, and attended my first signing with me. When I first started the series, I knew that I wanted Forgiven to be about fresh new beginnings and mending relationships that you never thought were possible.

-What is your favorite scene in your new release?

That’s hard. There are so many I like. Can I do a top 3?

1. Bradley and the drink the water scene.

2. Bradley and Veronica scenes were gut wrenching to write. I loved them.

3. The epilogue nearly killed me, but I loved the part where he’s undressing her.

-If you could be one of your characters - Who would you be? And why?

I am not any one character. There’s a lot of me in all the girls, even Veronica. It hurts sometimes when people say Gabby is annoying because I would say out of all the girls, there is the most me in her.

-Which actor or book character do you have a crush on?

Everyone knows this is David Gandy.

-What’s your favorite body part of the opposite sex?

Depends on the person. I am a sucker for beautiful blue eyes, dark features, and nice arms.

-What does love feel like?

Love is a stomach filled with butterflies flipping in every direction.

Love is feeling every part of your body turning red.

Love is your head feeling fuzzy and not being able to make coherent thoughts.

Love is caring so deeply about another human being that you’d give your own life to save theirs.

I met him online before meeting your significant other online was cool. We had mutual friends.

I’ve written several of my ideas of a perfect date. The one in Broken – chapter 18. That was pretty darn close. Read it and see.

-If you could take a romantic trip, where would it be?

I don’t need to go far. The Wentworth Mansion in Charleston for a couple of nights. No need to even leave the room.

-Do you believe in love at first sight?

I believe in lust at first sight. I believe in knowing the moment you meet your soul mate that you will never be able to part with them. I knew the moment I saw Chad (my husband) that I wanted more from him. I knew within two weeks I loved him, that he was the one. We were engaged in four months, and we’ve been married for almost 12 years. It’s hard for me to wrap my head around it happening any faster than that in real life.

This was the most fun I've had reading a book in a long time! I lmao at least once a chapter! It was funny, witty, sexy, did I mention it was fun as hell?

This entire book reads like the diary of a playboy. It's Drew's story, and he tells his story the way I tell my reviews, side notes, "Ok, stop right here"'s, with his little interjections in the middle of his story telling. Of course I loved it! First of all his story style is the male version of my reviewing style, secondly, remember this has always been my favorite type of books, Tangled is told solely by the male lead character's POV. Everything about this book was a breath of fresh air! And yes, I'll admit it, I put Gideon down for Drew's story after only reading the first chapter. I was just going to read a little bit to see where to put it on my tbr list, but once I started, I never looked back, and damn I'm glad I didn't!

Drew is not only the baby of his wealthy family, but he is also the only son, and the child that his parents thought they'd never have (because of his mothers infertility issues). Now that I've explained that minute detail of Drew, you can see his every wish or need was served on a silver platter, and his every bite of life was from a silver spoon, therefore creating every single woman's kryptonite. Handsome, like fine as hell, swoon worthy handsome, wealthy, extremely successful, and all Drew has to do is smile in his tailor made Armani suits, and the panties drop. The ladies will say yes to any and everything he says or asks, just for a chance to have a moment in his life, errrr, bed. 

Drew is the shark, the star, the prodigy his father always hoped would help lead the family  investment banking firm. And like a good son, Drew still loves to make his Pops proud.

Keeping to his Saturday night ritual, he and his friends are at NY city's hottest club, and he already has a lady lined up for the night and anxiously waiting for him at the table in the corner. However when Drew's eyes land on the brunette by the bar, ole Red at the corner table never enters his mind again. But the brunette isn't interested, I mean she is, her body is telling, no screaming that its interested, but her mouth says different, and hard as he tries, for the first time ever a catch hops off his hook! She turned him down! I know right? WTFH?!?! Oh well, least he still has Red for back up.

Drew

The following Monday his secretary informs Drew about a slight change in his meetings for the day, a employee that his father wants him to meet pushes his 1 o'clock back. No biggie, at least until he walks into the meeting and it's then that he realizes why after he explained what he did for a living at the bar Saturday night, that her face closely resembled a cats, after it'd swallowed the canary.

Kate's life is the polar opposite of Drew's. Everything Kate has she worked her ass off for. She watched her mother struggle just to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table and promised herself no matter what, she would always be able to take care of herself, and take care of herself very well. Engaged to the man that has been her boyfriend for a decade, she knows Drew's game, she knows what he's selling, and she is not buying.

Drew finds himself in quiet the predicament, he's never been faced with a challenge, and he's never not gotten what he wanted, especially when it comes to women. And yes, he hears the words that Kate's mouth is speaking, but he chooses to read what her body is saying, she wants him, she just needs to stop fighting it.

As the story continues, remember just like pages from Drew's diary, his thoughts, you are a woman inside this man's head, and there are times you want to knee him in the balls, castrate him, shank him in the throat, however, on the other side of that coin your heart breaks for him, you're protective of him, and you really, really want him to get the love of this woman he is chasing, you want him happy, and complete.

This book was so damn funny! That I can not help my self, I give to you, a Drewism's Montage:

Drew explaining why he doesn't sleep with his co-workers, and will never sleep with his hot blond secretary Erin:

"No, I haven’t fucked her. Not that I wouldn’t love to. Trust me, if she didn’t work for me, I’d hit that harder than Mohammed Ali."

Drew at his 1oclock meeting with the new employee, Kate:

"The first is: God hates me. The second is: I have been a naughty, naughty boy for most of my life, and this is my payback. And you know what they say about payback, right? Yep. She’s one hairy bitch."

Drew falls, hard for Kate:

"But then she opens her eyes and looks up at me. And I can’t look away. I feel like a king—like a fucking immortal. And any self-control I had just vanished. I push into her, fast and merciless. Pure heated pleasure swells in my stomach and down my thighs. Sweet Jesus."

Drew is in a conversation with his sister while his 4 year old niece pipes up:

Mackenzie raises her hand proudly. 

“I have a bagina.” I smirk. “Yes, you do sweetheart. And someday, it’s gonna help you rule the world.” “Johnny Fitzgerald has a penis. He say his penis is better than my bagina.” “Johnny Fitzgerald’s an idiot. Vaginas beat penises every time. They’re like kryptonite. Penises are defenseless against them.”

Drew is telling his big sis his opinion on teaching his niece Mackenzie that its ok to want to grow up and be a princess and marry a prince:

“You’re a stay-at-home mom. Which is very commendable, don’t get me wrong. But she should be exposed to career women too. And for God’s sake, don’t let her watch Cinderella. What kind of example is that? A mindless twit who can’t even remember where she left her damn shoe, so she has to wait for some douchebag in tights to bring it to her? Give me a frigging break.”

Loved Drew's diary! I mean his story, book, whatever! This was a freaking blast!
